Are my students learning what they are suppose to? Are my students at the point they are suppose to be? What do I need to do to get them there is they aren't? These are just a few of the many questions that goes through the head of a teacher every day they explore the crazy and exciting world of education. In my practicum, I have observed ways to make sure students get the quality education they deserve. Interactive groups, teacher lecturing, and physical activity are things I see everyday in my Kindergarten classroom. She teaches to all learning types and each student really enjoys being at school. This is a great thing to see.

  1. That seems like a fundamental question that all incoming teachers stress over: What do I need to do to get them where they need to be? I think the first step is assessment. When students enter your classroom in the beginning of the year, do a thorough assessment of their knowledge and understanding of the standards that are to be addressed that year. Once you know where they are at, next, you need to learn what methods and approaches to learning are the most successful for that student. Once you know the way in which a child learns, you can implement activities and strategies that will best help that student move along in their developmental process. :) Cali, I worry about this a lot love! Don't worry!
